Phone show line in use and no line
WebFeb 6, 2010 · The computer is functioning properly but the phone has a flashing "line in use message" and when picked up there is only static on the line. Sometimes (rarely) the phone works. I've checked everything I can think of but no luck. Can anyone suggest a solution? Check the port labeled 1-Line to ensure nothing is in the port. I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue. Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
